Lee and Lizotte

  • YouTube

Specialising in the "songs you'd forgotten you love," Lee and Lizotte are a bass and acoustic guitar duo, incorporating flute and saxophone with the aid of loop pedals. Playing original music as well as blues, pop, soul and folk favourites, Lee and Lizotte are the perfect addition to any event. If the mood dictates, Ian Howard joins them to form "Lee, Lizotte and Howard," a rocked-up version of the duo.

"These two talented and experienced musicians are a pure delight! They play regularly for us at Southern Wild Distillery in Devonport. Beautiful harmonies and a song selection of timeless classics combine for an evening that's oh so good for the soul." - Liz Hirst, Southern Wild Distillery.

The Midnight Messengers

"Reggae is music for dancing and grooving. Reggae is a feeling, an attitude that says listen to the people because we sing of hope and peace and truth, but mostly we sing about connectedness. The Midnight Messengers are a band that is held together by respect for the ideology and the grooves sent out from Jamaica to the world by the legends of reggae, with Bob Marley as the main spokesperson."

Introducing The Midnight Messengers – the NW coast’s very own reggae band, featuring a stellar local line-up of passionate reggae-loving musicians. Fronted by Neil Gibson, the band includes Tessa Lee on vocals/flute, Josh Berryman - bass (J. Arthur Band), Fintan McCullough - lead guitar (Don’t Come Mondays), Ian Howard – drums (Kyron Howell Collective), Bruce Innocent – percussion (Victor Zappner Swingtet), Steve MacFarlane – keys (Nine Lives), and horn section extraordinaire with Mike Lizotte, Teresa Beck-Swindale on saxophones and Pete Rissi on trombone

Skit Scat Raggedy Cat

Vocalist Tessa Lee presents 'Skit Scat Raggedy Cat,' the jazz show created for juniors. Using a broad range of kid-centric repertoire and a dose of fun, 'Skit Scat' will demystify jazz and infect children with swing. Pulling together top class jazz musicians and educators from the north of Tasmania (Steve Cooper - vocals and keyboards, Nick Hart - bass, Bruce Innocent - drums and percussion and Phil Pitcher - saxophones), 'Skit Scat Raggedy Cat,' is Tessa Lee's newest project, borne of passion for passing on the traditions of jazz to the next generation.
